The DFG Funding Ranking provides information in differentiated form on priority research areas at German universities and non-university research institutions with respect to their research activities that are funded by third-party means and on the networking between these institutions that arises through joint research projects. On the basis of the funding data of the DFG and other central funding bodies, regions that are particularly active in research can be identified and the funding structures of the DFG, the federal government and the EU comparatively examined.
